Three day trip in Nevis Range and Lagan Wolftrax
Traveling straight from Aberdeen to Lagan Wolftrax, we met with local rider Archie who was giving our riders a wee tour.
The first thing we always do is check over our bikes and safety kit. All the riders check their own bikes with guidance from us, and we make sure everyones happy before heading to the trails.
One of the first stops on our tour was to the world famous Airs Rock which is a very steep, err ROCK! You need to be committed to ride this as you can't stop once over the edge!
Got to get the epic group shot at the top of Nevis Range!
There's not really much waiting (most of the time) at the gondola. However it gives us time to demo to the riders how to lift their bike and secure it to the back of the gondola - not lost a bike yet!
We stuck together and rode each section in turn, working out the lines. Archie was showing us the locals best lines and Craig was recalling some of the lines from his time downhill racing (although much has changed since then!)
Leave the GoPro to see the amazing views and keep your eyes on the trail. Especially so when you're riding the Fort William World Cup downhill, on a 130mm trail bike!
Bikes are awesome but sometimes even our amazing mountain bikes can't access some places, so after dinner we went for a wee walk to Steall Falls
Everyone loves a challenge, and there's no stopping us, even after a massive day riding.
Nothing makes food taste better than when your eating outdoors, especially when its sunny and you've just got out of bed!
On the journey home we stopped off at Boat of Garten Pumptrack which is one of the best settings for a pump track in the woods, plus a nice relief from the hard trails we had been riding all week!
24 hours before this photo was taken, none of these riders had ever met each other. Traveling, riding, eating and exploring together makes connections and memories you'll have for life.
