Three day trip in the Cairngorms
This was one of the warmest summer Adventures following a week of sunny dry weather with temperatures up near 30! The first day was a drive straight to Cairngorm Mountain for a ride at their new trails which has a part uplift using a magic carpet conveyor belt!
The trails were so dry they were actually loose and slippy, however our riders adjusted for the conditions and looked great riding in trains together down the trial.
The 57North Adventures biking jersey was looking particularly good in the bright blue sky. Members of the public were commenting on the cool team, and the riders enjoyed the attention!
Our transporter has a plugged in fridge which was useful in this weather to keep our lunch fresh and cool. A nutritious lunch was also welcomed to boost energy levels for more riding.
Our unique offering is being able to transport all the riders, bikes and kit in one vehicle. The trailer is kitted out to take the bikes and also storage for the riders biking kit. This makes it really quick and easy for riders to change between rides and keep their kit organised.
One of the nicest things about this area is the variation of the terrain. Just a short drive from the top of the Cairngorm Mountain resort is Loch Morlich with the highest freshwater beach in the UK. A nice cool off before dinner.
Meals are included in our trips and riders love food! We make sure everyone gets plenty to eat, and we eat together.
The second day was a full day trip to Lagan Wolftrax for more super dry and dusty trails. The riders worked together to build the courage to try out the world famous Airs Rock. This is a steep smooth section which is black graded and completely optional.
Prior the the trip we issue an extensive kit list which details everything the riders require to wear for safety and comfort during the trip. Before each rider everyone checks their pads, helmets and gloves to make sure everything is present and correct.
Another awesome part of our trips is having the experience and guidance from Craig as he's been organising trips for years, he knows all the best places to go - like when the riders asked for a sick wild swimming spot to cool down and feel refreshed after a day of dusty riding.
There is nothing more refreshing than a dip in cool water after riding bikes. We make sure the riders know the limits, boundaries and take turns to limit the number in the water and keep everyone safe.
